Is there a connection between weight gain & food sensitivities?

Food sensitivities can cause sugar cravings by inducing a serotonin deficit in the brain chemistry. The sufferer will attempt to compensate for this deficit, and the resulting feelings of discomfort, by consuming refined carbohydrates. Fortunately, elimination of offending foods effectively restores neurological balance and curbs sugar cravings, thus alleviating discomfort and depression and making compliance with a low carb program much easier which ultimately helps weight loss.

Our Food Intolerance or Allergy Tests can help identify which foods can be harmful to your system and thus guide your physician or the nutritionist to offer appropriate advice.

I am allergic to a food but how come I am not showing intolerance towards the food in the report?

Allergic reaction is due to immune system response (IgE) and intolerance is usually limited to the digestive system (IgG). So one having allergy against a food may not show intolerance to that food.

My result shows intolerance to milk but not to yogurt. I have a stronger reaction to cheese than milk. Why is that?

      • Yogurt and Cheese are produced via fermentation or souring. These processes change the milk protein so that antigen structures can be destroyed or new ones can appear and therefore alter the immune response.

Why do I not show intolerance to buffalo milk, while I have intolerance to cow's, sheep, and goat milk?

Buffalo milk also contains casein, a protein found in all mammalian milks. There are 4 different types of casein and the structural composition of each protein is different in each type of milk. Although there are many structural similarities between cow’s and buffalo milk, they are also not similar enough to make buffalo milk less allergenic than cow’s milk. Studies have shown that many children who test positive for cow’s, sheep and goat milk antibodies, show a negative result for buffalo milk and buffalo milk has been shown to be a suitable alternative for children with cow’s milk allergy.
